Motorised Kite String Winder (Phirkee)

The traditional Kite String Winder or “Phirkee” has been fitted with an in-built motor making the string winding and unwinding operations motorised thereby saving the kite flyer significant time and effort. The size of the motorised Phirkee is same as the conventional wooden Phirkee, however, the body has been made from moulded plastic to make it more durable and also to balance the additional weight of the motor and the gears.

GIAN has financed the innovator of the device for commercial production and the innovation is expected to be available in the market soon.
