| Rickshaw pulling is an exhausting task especially on an uphill track when the power that the pedals can transmits, falls short of the critical level. The rider has to get off and physically pull the rolling load at a drain rate of energy. Jabbarbhai’s variable gear system consists of the plurality of the sprocket mounted on a pair of shaft. Free wheels are provided on the front and rear shaft of the gear system. The free wheel can provide free movement in the clockwise and anticlockwise direction. The free wheel comprises of a dog lifter, instead of a spring loaded dog pawl.Hence require less effort as compared to conventional one and make the life of rickshaw pullers easier. | ||
