| Description: | ||
The innovative buttonhole machine developed Mr. Anil Kamdar is machine
ideally suited for the Indian environment, especially the rural and the
semi-urban markets, where availability and parts and maintenance is an
issue. Second hand imported machine are used for buttonholing by
tailors in large cities. However, the same machine cannot be used in
smaller towns and villages because these machines are complex and can
be repaired only by the company trained and authorized service
stations, which are located only in the large cities. The innovative
buttonhole machine is so designed that most average sewing machine
mechanics, available in plenty in the smaller towns and villages on
India, can repair and maintain the machine. In fact, for most fault
conditions, the tailor himself can repair and maintain the machine. The
huge untapped village and small town market can captured by this
buttonhole machine. .

Shri Anil Kamdar, the innovator of the Buttonhole machine, is a sewing
machine genius and believes in innovation rather than copying western
technologies. Without having electricity and any kind of tools at his
home, he developed a prototype of totally indigenous buttonhole
machine; he proved that Buttonhole machine can be manufactured in India
