Traditional Iron tawas are very poor in thermal efficiency and cause overuse of cooking fuel, with the consistent increase in the LPG prices it becomes overwhelmingly challenging as how to reduce the energy consumption while cooking. A product to overcome this challenge is the 'Ribbed Tawa', which is made of alumininum and has ribs on its bottom. This design allows the equitable flow of heat from the bottom improving the baking capacity of the tawa thereby reducing energy use.

• Its Ribbed Circular Bottom gives 7.9% higher thermal efficiency (52.17%) compare to conventional Iron Tawa (44.27%) and ribbed bottom gives about extra 1.09 per cent over ordinary aluminum plate( ref: test report of IIP Dehradun).
• Equal baked, due to ribbed bottom which gives healthy food.
• Fast cooking (time saver), due to its higher thermal efficiency.
