The increasing cost of maintaining the bullocks and the risk of untimely death associated with them has drawn the farmers toward machines. The conventional tractor and power tillers available in the market are expensive, highly in efficient in fuel consumption and are out of the reach of the poor farmers. Mulubhai Senjaliya of Junagadh district of Gujarat needed something, which required little upkeep to till his land, as he had no other person to help him. The bullocks were too expensive and required attention all the time. He designed a small 5.5 H.P. motorized sprayer that fulfill his all the needs for small farm holding of 20 acres.
Innovator has employed stationary engine and standard gearbox available in the market. The engineering in the area of fabrication and assembling work was done by him without taking any outside help. The sprayer has four-wheel base and can pull approximately one M.T. load. It is capable of performing shallow ploughing, intreculturing and spraying. It has very high fuel efficiency, which is claimed to be one liter of diesel per hectare of cultivation.
