Chief Innovation Manager (CIM):
|

He/She should be an MBA with a degree
in engineering, agriculture or allied fields with minimum
5 to 10 years experience in a similar position. His/Her
main responsibility would be to develop grassroots innovation
in to market-ready innovation with due technological intervention
and for that he/she should be ready for extensive traveling
in rural areas. |

The job profile for above post
will be: |
| |
- Coordination and management of overall activities
of GIAN like activities relating to incubation, value
addition, IPR protection and business & enterprise
development, accounts & financial matters for helping
grassroots innovation and traditional knowledge holders.
- Selection of projects through SRISTI & NIF database,
documentations, technical validation, product development,
identify potential entrepreneurs who may have interest
in scaling up grassroots innovations, mobilize resources
for various projects and other activities, tie up
& mentoring between innovator, mentors & entrepreneurs.
- To build a network with people and organizations
which help in harnessing excellence in the formal
scientific and technological organizations in public
or private sector for the benefit of innovators.
- To establish a network with various stake-holding
institutions and individuals to mobilize resources
to build up the corpus of GIAN, raising the financial
resources for various projects of GIAN.
- Team building, maintaining & enhancing the spirit
of GIAN team, guiding them for various activities,
project supports etc.
- To make presentation to various organizations, entrepreneurs
associations, organizing business meetings, clearing
house etc.
- Coordination and follow up with support agencies
like Gujarat Government, NIF and sister organizations.
- Extending total support to the Honorable Secretary
for Governing Body meeting and other organization
related matters.

General Manager (Innovation
Promotion) & General Manager (Venture Promotion): |

Applicant should have master's degree
in Management/Finance or allied fields along with 7 -10
years relevant experience. |

Emoluments: Consolidated
20,000/- to 40,000/- per month |
| |
The job profile for the above
post will be: |
| |
- Coordination and management of all activities relating
to business development for grassroots innovation.
- Assessing its market potential through formal and
informal market research surveys, developing business
plans for converting innovator into entrepreneur or
licensing the technology to third parties within the
country or outside.
- Market benchmarking, business planning, and implementation,
mentoring, linkages with business and technology institutions
and mobilizing resources by submitting proposals to
funding organizations, preparing and making presentations
to various business related organizations, business
schools, developing MVIF proposal get them assessed
by experts and monitor their implementation for generating
income in the hands of the knowledge providers.
- To do prior art search, helping GM (VARD) in product
development and guide them for market needs etc. to
extend support to the CIM in business development
activities, project management, follow up with innovators
for MVIF proposals and its implementation, report
righting etc.

Manager (Value Addition): |

Post Graduates in engineering/agriculture
or allied fields with minimum 7-10 years of experience
in product development for mechanical and agriculture
innovations. |

The job profile for the above
post will be: |
| |
- Coordination and management of all activities relating
to value addition, research & development.
- To undertake prior art search, designing and product
development, product standardization to extend help
to innovators for refinements of ides/prototype development
and standardizations, technological and market benchmarking
of innovations.
- Research and value addition with the help of various
stake holders, internal and external agencies through
formal engineering inputs.
- To mobilize resources by submitting proposal to
various funding organizations
- Coordination with local and national level technical
institutes / engineering colleges, IIT's etc.
- To extend technological support to the CIM and GM
(BD) in projects, to mange in-house workshops and
mobilize outside workshop support for making prototypes,
testing/validation through reputed agencies etc.
- To prepare technological write-ups, engineering
drawings for filing patents etc. to monitors the prototype
development / production at innovators end being undertaken
with the help of GIAN.
- To extend support to CIM for project management,
report righting etc.

Manager (Technical Collaboration
& Value Addition) |
| |
Management/Engineering/Agriculture Science
Graduate with 2 to 4 years of experience in validation
and value addition in grassroots innovations and traditional
knowledge. He/she will have to undertake activities related
to research, value addition and product development and
collaborate with R&D institutions, design firms, innovators
etc. Applicants with prior experience in the same responsibility
will be preferred. |

Project Manager: |
| |
Degree in Management/MSW with minimum
2 to 3 years of experience in managing projects at field
level. Experience in working with NGO sector will be given

Finance & Administrative Officer:
|
| |
CA/ICWA(Inter)/ M.com or having similar
degree with minimum 5 - 7 years of experience in dealing
with accounts, project accounting and general administration.
Work experience in NGO sector will be given preference.

The job profile for the above
post will be: |
| |
- Coordination and management of all activities relating
to accounts and administration.
- To manage finance & accounts, to coordinate internal
& external payments, to extend managerial support
to innovators and held them to maintain their accounts.
- To coordinate with internal /statutory auditors,
to finalize annual account.
- To coordinate with bankers and manage investment
efficiently
- To develop a financial MIS system so that resources
are utilized properly
- To prepare budget for GIAN and follow the accounts
norms, implementation of various systems for day to
day administrations.
- To extend help to the project managers in projects,
workshops for organizing the same.
- To manage the Micro Venture Innovation Fund (MVIF)
operated at GIAN and NIF.
- To provide active support in organizing Governing
Body meeting, to prepare agenda and other relevant
papers.
- Overall general administration work of GIAN, to
liaison with sister organizations.
- To follow up with market inquiry, purchase and orders,
maintaining stocks of various products and prototypes
etc.
